The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation exists to support nonprofit organizations, social entrepreneurs, and creative thinkers focused on improving food security, ending food waste, and more.

Launched in 2019, the Charger Station food pantries, overseen by the Student Needs Team, are available at all Edison State locations for registered students. The pantries include much-needed items for students, such as food, toiletries, school supplies, and information on how to access local resources. Edison State鈥檚 aim is to assist students facing food insecurity, enabling them to pursue their education and achieve their academic and career goals.

鈥淓dison State is committed to removing barriers to student success, both academic and non-academic. When students don鈥檛 have to worry about basic needs like food, they can focus on their studies and reach their goals,鈥 said Dr. Jeannette Passmore, Dean of Student Affairs. 鈥淭his partnership with Kroger helps us address the everyday challenges that can prevent students from completing their education.鈥
