Ҵý’s Workforce Development & Work-Based Learning office will host “Building the Workforce Pipeline: Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeships,” on Wednesday, June 24, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Piqua Campus. This informative session will explore how apprenticeship programs support skills development and career advancement in today’s workforce, while highlighting advanced manufacturing apprenticeship pathways and the opportunities they create for learners and employers alike.

Brandi Olberding, Edison State Assistant Dean of Workforce Development & Work-Based Learning, and ApprenticeOhio will join forces to discuss Edison State’s registered apprenticeships as a talent strategy for manufacturing. The session will explore innovative approaches to recruiting, developing, and retaining talent in today’s competitive labor market. It will also demonstrate how registered apprenticeships can alleviate workforce shortages, strengthen retention, and build customized talent pipelines.

“Registered apprenticeships create meaningful pathways for individuals to build in-demand skills while helping employers develop a strong, sustainable workforce pipeline,” Olberding said. “Through collaboration with industry partners and ApprenticeOhio, we are strengthening advanced manufacturing talent strategies that support career advancement, address workforce shortages, and create long-term success for both employees and employers.”
